Hello diyers, has anyone tried using Lundahl transformers as output transfomers for either the 5751/EL34 or KT120 monoblock projects? I know that e.g. Andrea Ciuffoli (https://www.audiodesignguide.com/) has been a huuge fan of them. I looked through their models and it seems that LL2769 (https://www.lundahltransformers.com/wp-content/uploads/datasheets/2769.pdf) would fit both of the builds. WDYT? Heyo ;) So I've been debating a 300b amplifier build for a bit now. I saw some of the videos on your 300b project and thought I'd do a bit of digging on it. I have a few questions. First, my version of the bom with links and parts is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11-tacu1eVugtrltYdBZ2b1H4SKjHpAcN7-2OSbx3x4I/edit?usp=sharing I've noticed: 1. The nichion capacitors appear to be eol and no replacements. I marked them in red in my spreadsheet - are the replacements I chose right? I matched the values I thought were important - voltage and capacitance. Pricey compared to the original but in the grand price / scheme its nothing to freak over 2. The yamomoto gauges appear to be gone - any suggestions on a replacement? 3. For the case do you know of a place that would do the cutting for things or should I do something like a nibbler or whatever? 4. I still need to go over the videos more thoroughly - assuming there is no guide beyond the videos? 5. Other than "amazon" or "ebay" any recommendations on good wire? I don't always trust the stuff from amazon - its hard to tell the good quality stuff vs whatever folks say is a given spec/type - there is a lot of crap on there sadly ;( ( well, imo - to each their own I guess? ) 6. For the 300b tubes I intentionally chose something on the lower-ish price end - I know the sky is the limit there. I don't want to spend loads on tubes out the gate - feels like something to grow into later. Thoughts/recommendations I'm certainly open to If anyone can go over the bom to see if I made any glaring mistakes or recommend more suitable parts that would be great. The tube sockets for the 300b I think I got right - the bom was not as specific on that part. For the speaker terminals I was just using the ones from diyaudiostore - I like them but if folks have thoughts on other/better thats easy enough to change. I tried searching on mouser and did not find much. This is probably a project for like ... end of this year or later ;) I'm just scoping things out

new here but have seen these videos on the Youtube channel. interesting stuff. I have been waiting on life to settle to buy a Wilsenton tube integrated but locally a Boyuurange 50a has popped up for less than $500 . Now I am interested in buying it and doing the mods. is that price a good deal considering the updates cost as well? Im not an engineer or anything but I can solder lol.. thanks!
