Been watching all your videos - Thanks for a down to earth channel.

I retired just over a year ago and have slowly got back to working on my Audio system. I recently restored a Rotel RP850 turntable (circa 1980), the added complication was it ran on 240V/50Hz. I'd always intended to recut the pulley to handle 60Hz, well - after 40 years that never happened. As Chinese inverters are now cheap, I ended up powering it that way. The experience of hearing some of my LP's again encouraged me to look into a better phono-stage.

I'm in the process of building the EAR834 phono stage - I learned a lot from your videos - thanks! I'm also following some of the suggestions (TRLH mods) from the thread on lencoheaven (https://www.lencoheaven.net/forum/index.php?topic=26658.msg352026#msg352026). I've got everything built and am checking the voltages at the moment. (I used the Antek AS-05T280 toroid). I've got my 285V, but my heater voltage is at 6.0V (with tubes) - looking to decrease the 0.22R resistors a little to see if I can push it up to 6.3. (I'd initially thought this was within specs, but some googling seems to suggest you can reduce tube life by running the heaters at less than 6.3)

Hopefully I can get the phono stage complete over the next week - I'll post pictures when I have it all done.
