A 5% one should be fine, likely they only had a 1% when I made up the BOM. Metal film resistors are usually really close to spec even when they are sold as 5% parts. Or you could always just order a couple of extras in case one happens to be way out there.
There is a BOM here, I don't make up "proper links" due to specific part numbers going in and out of stock so frequently. So in those cases, I get endless emails about "Can I replace X brand resistor with Y brand?" Or "Can I replace a 5% resistor with this 1% one).https://www.skunkiedesigns.com/a12-mods
@Neil Medin If you have a powered sub, I would say it's close to the full mod. The main drawback of the tube swap is the lack of bass is still evident.
@Skunkie Thanks, I see you say to stay with the stock rectifier with the 6v6…do you recommend another rectifier for some more improvements…I changed to the 6v6, and I’m using a powered sub. Thanks!
@Neil Medin That is pushing what those tubes can handle. I wouldn't do anything that would increase the voltage and IMHO in an SE amp, the rectifier tube doesn't really contribute much if at all to the sound.
Hey Bob, PArt Connexion has the 1k ohm, 2 W, .1% tolerance resistor. All set!

From the "Can I replace this resistor with this one file!"....
1K ohm, 2W, 1% tolerance...ok to replace with 1k 2W 5%?
Thank you for all the videos !!
I wonder where that clickable list above came from then?
