Hi all! After doing part one of Skunkie's A50 mod...every was great for about 2 months. A few days ago it went silent. Turns out it blew the 250v P4A fuse. I ordered replacement pack of 10 of them. Replacing the fuse, it dows turn on but after about 1/2 a second goes dim again because the fuse is blown. Tried with 3 more and same thing. It's not the tubes (took them out, put a new fuse in and turned it on - same thing happened - blew the fuse). So, does anyone know how to find out the source for the power xformer (transformer)? I'm going to look there next. The Electrolytic capacitors all look ok to me (no bloating or charring).
I feel like the xformer might be the issue.
If anyone has any other ideas, I sure would appreciate it! Thanks!

Thanks again for this response! Tonight, I disconnected all the output lead wires from the transformer. I put in a fresh fuse and then plugged it in and turned it on. Immediately blew the fuse. So it sure appears it that it's the power xformer. Also, over the past two months of listening to the amp, I was doing 9-10 hour marathon sessions very often. Maybe that is part of the reason the xformer died? Anyways- do you have an idea of a replacement transformer? Looking at the schemtics the A50 comes with, it's not obvious which power transformer I could order to swap out the bad one with.
Thanks again for all you do for this hobby - you really are a saint (and talented as well).
