Has anyone cracked open the Willsenton R800i to see if it, too, has the issue with a lack of resistor on the bias pots that the Willsenton R8 had as Skunkie pointed out?
I was looking to save a step of flipping this 100lb beast over twice!
It looks like it also uses a fixed bias design and likely yes, it probably is missing those safety resistors. Not sure why on a 300B amp they wouldn't just use cathode bias.
Thank you mddawson! It kind of helps. I cannot see the small board in the upper left corner where I think the right side bias pot is located. I'll have to crack it open and post a pic. Maybe if I do that folks can help me figure it out. Thank you!
