Hi you wonderful people, I'm André from Germany and am intrigued by a tube amp, especially a 300b one.
First about matching, I want to pair it with Triangle Comete 40th (8 ohm's, 90 db/W/m). My room is about 18 square meters (193 square feet) and I'm sitting 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) away from the speakers. My listening volume is about 60 to 65 db average with higher peaks of course. Orchestral/classic, Jazz, indie folk/singer - songwriter music makes the most part of my playlist.
Is an 8 watt one sufficient or should I go for a 19 watt one like the Fezz Lybra or the Consonance Reference 5.5 mkii. From what I gathered I think it is.
My second question would be about a barebone 300b amp I found on Amazon.
Elroy369Lion 300B Single-Ended-Verstärker Handgefertigter 300b-Stereo, EF37 bis 300B (ohne Vakuumröhre) https://amzn.eu/d/b345Ius
How does that look to you guys? From a noob perspective I think the inner working looks amazing. Is 1.3k€ a reasonable price?
A used one is also in consideration.
I hope my questions are not too dumb and am looking forward to some input from you.
🙏
