Hi I currently have an integrated solid state amp. The Iota sa3. I am interested in a tube amp. I like blues rock indy metal jazz. I have a small room and old mission bookshelf speakers. I know tubes are subjective to each person and tube age but what would you recommend? I auditioned an quad amp a few years ago I was thinking about buying it but I didn't. My friend had the Fatman amp if you have heard of that. Other than that I don't have much tube listening experience.

I am interested in electronics and have a soldering iron and a few tools.
