Steph, I have been watching your build of the SET KT120 monoblocks but more importantly I was paying attention to what you had to say about the current manufacturing quality of the KT120's out there. Very interesting to watch and hear your thoughts on the red plating you were experiencing. By the way Stephe, I really enjoy your videos and you have been so helpful. What a joy it is to check in to see you have a new video uploaded! Thanks so much for all your efforts! BTW I also have a Reison A12 that I will be doing your mods to.
I currently have Conrad Johnson monoblocks with 4-6550's per amp and I have been hearing online of the wonderful sound improvemnts by replacing the 6550's with KT120's, which is confirmed by Conrad Johnson. This is a push-pull configuration and my worry is I wonder how you feel about these KT120's out there for sale being used in a push-pull configuration. I suppose teh only way of knowing is to try it and hopefully the seller (Tube Depot) of the tubes will take them back should there be any red plating?
Has anyone experienced red plating of the current KT120's in a push pull configuration?
Many thanks from Nova Scotia, Canada!

In push pull they should be fine as you won't need to idle bias them nearly as high.
