So, our host and mentor has done great things with both of these amps (A10/12 and 6P1). My initial review of the extensive videos might suggest there's no obvious better choice to get and modify. But, the Nobsound is a lot cheaper to start with. Any comments on this?

The output transformers on the Reisong amps are better.
I have purchased two of these 6P1 amps and done the skunkie mods on both of them. I have a pair of 1973 Klipschorns and I wanted to try a tube amp on them, I tried running just one of them and I wasn’t able to get enough bottom end out of my Khorns. I was a sound guy for an 80s garage band that was Tri-amping the PA so I bought a second 6P1 amp to bi-amp the Khorns hoping to improve the bass bin kick. I did the mods to both amps. The Khorns did improve a bit but not enough for my tastes. I have gone back to using my Yamaha AVR that can bi-amp sending 130 WPC to 4 discrete channels, two for each Khorn (bass bin/top cab). This setup has allowed me to get the kick drum punch that I am used to with a good PA system. Even with the very efficient Khorns the bass bin needs some headroom and a bit of solid state power and fast response of a solid state circuit to keep my chest thumping to the kick drum at 70db of volume where I sit and listen to music.
