Reisong MT-34 MKII at China hifi audio for $351.86 (push-pull EL34).
We know there is a history of "acceptable iron" (transformers) with this brand, we know the chassis is reasonably strong and could be called attractive by some, one should expect that the tubes are dodgy, and the circuit could likely need some tweaking, but the price is good for a gamble.
Lets look at an EL34 push pull schematic known good to compare"
The more I look at that schematic, the more I'm believing there is something wrong, probably with the output transformers (too small?) Without working voltages I'm only guessing, but an 800 ohm cathode resistor (R116/R117) is running those EL34s pretty damn cold, more, or less, crippling the power output. The only reason I can think of is too small an output transformer........................
Notice the feedback loop, from the 8ohm output (R118) to the cathode on V1 (marked "NF")
Then try "open box" at $569?
