I just ordered Edcor transformers for building a Kegger/Blueglow KT88 amp and am starting on the chassis while I wait on delivery. What is the consensus on wire gauge and solid vs stranded. I am thinking 18 gauge for heater wiring and 20 gauge for everything else. I am leaning toward solid. What do you guys with experience use?

Upon more searching, I see that Partconnexion.com has some as well as Apexjr.com. It just seems that stranded is much more available than solid.
Where do you get your solid 18ga wire? I'm having trouble finding anything other than stranded in small quantities on Amazon or Ebay. Most of what I do find even 20awg is only 300v rated, not 600.
I've been using 18ga solid for all my wiring, but have also used 14ga solid for some ground buss type uses.
